Description
Join Robert D. Zaruta, Shareholder with Knox Law, for a luncheon centered on important topics in employment law and potential ways in which Knox Law can support nonprofit organizations to be successful in this realm.
Bob will discuss two major trends in employment law that specifically affect nonprofit organizations: (1) modernizing employee-related processes to ensure consistency and avoid liability, and (2) updating employee handbooks. Bob will discuss the importance of modernizing and streamlining employee-related processes, including hiring, firing, evaluations, accommodation requests, and discipline. He will also review recent changes to federal and state laws which have outdated many employee handbooks. He will discuss several updates necessary to remain in line with current law, plus others which nonprofits organizations should at least consider making to their employee handbooks.
Thanks to the generosity of Knox Law, lunch will be included!
Please note - this lunch is geared towards nonprofit organizations with 3-25 employees.
This is a free event for attendees associated with an organization that is a member with The Nonprofit Partnership.
