Grant Writing: Are You Funding Ready?

Join The Nonprofit Partnership and Shannon Onderko on Thursday, September 19 from 9:30-11 a.m. for "Grant Writing: Are you Funding Ready?" designed to transform your approach to securing grant funding.

Without formal grant writing training, your team applies for grants haphazardly, leading to burnout and exhaustion. Pursuing grant funding is critical for small organizations, but it is a struggle to find time with all of the other responsibilities.

This training will teach aspiring grant writers:

• How to think like a funder
• Research grants yielding the highest rate of success
• Systematize grant pursuits
• Write winning proposals

Shannon's strategy overview:

• Understanding your organization's project(s) to be funded to build a successful funding strategy
• A funding strategy is a roadmap of the top grants for your organization to pursue over the next 12-18 months
• Together we will describe your organization in one high-impact sentence, determine what you want to get funded by reasonably addressing what can be accomplished within a year or two, and focus on projects that can be measured/demonstrate success

This session is free for members with The Nonprofit Partnership. Non-members may pay a $45 fee to attend.

About Shannon:

Shannon Onderko is an Erie native currently residing in Fairview with her husband, Travis, and daughter, Izzy. She has an educational background in Psychology and holds an advanced degree in Secondary Education. Shannon is a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC) and a Certified Grant Writer. She has over 10 years of experience working in Corporate America, where she developed strategic initiatives to support business development and mentored and coached new leadership.
