Description

The goal of The Fundraising Focus forum is to provide development professionals with an opportunity to learn, network, and share experiences and ideas with each other. We understand that fundraisers often feel isolated and we hope that this time for discussion and fellowship will expand your skill set, as well as your network.

Let's convene on Thursday, April 27th at 1:00 PM for The Fundraising Focus with Christina Katen, Development Director with Erie Day School!

Grantwriting That's Game-Changing!

With over a decade of experience in the grantwriting field, Christina is privy to what typically works and what doesn’t. We’ll discuss:

  • Writing 101
  • Perfect your Project
  • What will you measure and why?
  • Does it fit? (Organizational fit, project fit, impact fit)
  • Focus on your Funder
  • Supporting documents make a difference
  • And more

Don’t forget, The Fundraising Focus is a discussion-based forum. Come prepared with your tips, tricks and woes. We’re in this together!

Please note - this session will be in-person and space is limited. Attendance is for members of The Nonprofit Partnership only and is free of charge.

More about Christina:

Christina Katen currently serves as the Director of Development for Erie Day School, where her son is a student. Previously, she served as the Founder and Principal of GRANTED, working as a Grant Consultant. With GRANTED, Christina researched numerous funding opportunities, offered guidance on project development, and composed winning grant proposals for multiple local non-profits, small businesses, and a university, resulting in a million dollars in funding being awarded to her clients. Christina has also lent her experience and leadership to many local non-profits, serving in multiple roles such as Board President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Chairwoman of over 20 events. She has played a part in raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for charities throughout her professional and volunteer careers. Before launching her small business to prioritize her growing family, Christina spent nearly a decade in the fast-paced, results-focused corporate banking & finance sector. The formal training & professional experience she gained during that chapter of her career enabled her to develop her professional skillset – both on an individual and team level.
