Description

Recovery Friendly Workplaces are not only a compassionate approach, they are a practical workforce strategy. Nonprofits are uniquely positioned to lead in this area, yet many have not fully transformed their internal workforce practices to recruit and retain employees. This session provides a clear, actionable framework to help nonprofit leaders strengthen recruitment, retention, and organizational culture by supporting employees in recovery.
Participants will explore how stigma impacts workforce stability and learn how to implement policies and practices that promote well-being, accountability, and long-term success. The session will focus on practical steps nonprofits can take immediately, including creating supportive supervision models, expanding hiring pipelines to include individuals in recovery, and establishing workplace safety practices.
This session is designed to help nonprofits align their workforce strategies with their mission, build a stronger and more resilient team, and expand their impact in the communities they serve.
